FUNDING
The annual running costs of the Erme Valley Riding for the Disabled Group are £95 000. As the organisation is staffed on an entirely voluntary basis, one might wonder where all that money goes? Some of the expenses incurred by the Erme Valley Group include:
- Provision and training of horses
- Horse Feed
- Veterinary bills
- Staff Training
- RDA Membership
- Insurance
- Continual maintenance of standards to meet current Health and Safety legislation, including the provision and maintenance of the necessary equipment e.g. Hydraulic Hoists, Sling Cradles, Disabled Facilities and Disabled Access.
Erme Valley is a non-commercial organisation, relying totally on donations and support from the local community. Much time and money has been invested in the property, in order to meet the very specific needs of all the users. This is mostly achieved from the support of local businesses, local riding clubs, instructors, pony clubs and independent users of the facility and charity events, including our popular Christmas Fundraiser.
